JVC's three 4K e-shift HDR projectors offer class leading black levels and high lumen output, making them a true competitor to Sony and Epson in the mid-price projector realm.
There are three models:
These projectors are not true 4K, like Sony's VPL-VW365ES or VPL-VW675ES, instead achieving quasi-4K through a pixel shifting algorithm. We prefer Sony's 4K UHD projectors for their natural image quality and spot-on color accuracy, but these JVCs have the edge in black levels. The JVCs support HDR10 and HLG.
One of the major improvements over the 2016 model year is the addition of a low latency mode, for better gaming performance. Historically JVCs had very high latency, so any improvement here is appreciated.
Unlike Sony's VPL-VW365ES, all these JVCs include zoom memories as standard, making them a real choice for those looking to implement constant image height 2.35:1 projection in their home theater.
