SVS's 12 Plus series subwoofers are a decent step up from the 2000 series. Output level capabilities are increased thanks to a longer stroke 12" driver with larger voicecoil and 800W of amplifier power.
The amplifier used in the 12 Plus series are the same used as those in the Ultra series, and include some user-configurable DSP options for tuning such as a room gain setting and parametric EQ.
There are two versions:
We're big fans of the PC-12+, because it packs a high output ported subwoofer into a small footprint (16.6" diameter). The ported box subwoofers can be challenging to integrate into a dedicated home theater, due to their size. Not many people can fit a 27" deep sub into their room (though we've sometimes turned them sideways to hide them behind a screen wall).
The 12+ series offers great sound quality. SVS have done an exceptional job with driver limiting DSP, so they are virtually indestructible, and behave well when being pushed to their limit.
